Light Painting

Light painting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera, or by moving the camera itself during exposure.

For this series of images I placed my camera on a tripod and set it for a long shutter speed. I then used the torch on my phone to trace shapes such as my laptop, a freehand heart and the letter F. I also experimented with other light sources such as a set of fairy lights.
